Your child’s safety is priority to us. We require that all teachers attend LifeSpring a minimum of 6 months and complete a screening and background check before serving in Children’s Ministry. We also have a minimum of 2 volunteers working with each class. LifeSpring has a procedure in place for reporting and following up on suspected abuse.
Please indicate any food allergies on your child’s information card so the classroom can be kept allergen free.
At LifeSpring, many children make a decision to commit their lives to Jesus and be baptized through immersion. This decision is often made when the child is old enough to understand the commitment and has talked to family members or church leaders about it. Please speak with your children’s minister if you feel your child is ready to take this step of faith.
Each year on Mother’s Day, we hold a special service where parents dedicate their new child to God as they commit themselves to raising him/her to know and love Christ. It is also an opportunity for the LifeSpring congregation to dedicate themselves to helping the families raise their children to grow in faith.
Walk your child to class (up through 3rd grade). Each child has a pre-printed nametag with an individual 5-digit number on it. Place the sticker with your child’s name on his/her shirt. Then, take the sticker with your child’s 5-digit identification number into service with you. At the end of the service, let the teacher know which child you are there to pick up. They will match the child’s nametag with the identification number on your sticker. Hand your identification sticker to the teacher.
We offer communion every weekend for children in grades 1–5. Children may participate if they have made a personal decision to commit their life to Christ and have been baptized.
We encourage you to visit the restroom facilities with your child before class. If your child is in the Potty Training process, please have your child in a pull-up during class time in order to minimize any accidents.
If anyone is interested in becoming involved in Children’s Ministry at LifeSpring, please speak with the Children’s Minister, Angela Calabrese. There are many wonderful opportunities to serve.
In consideration of others, please do not bring sick children. Your child must be free from a cold, fever, diarrhea, vomiting, pink eye, and other symptoms for at least 24 hours before coming to class.
