Doug joined the LifeSpring staff and family as the Connections Minister in March of 2018. He is driven by community and has a passion to see people connect, grow, and find purpose through the ministries here at LifeSpring. Doug, his wife Sarah and their son Elijah moved down from Kalamazoo Michigan where Doug had previously been serving as a Senior Pastoral Apprentice and College Ministry Director.
Doug grew up primarily in the greater Detroit area. He was living in the Detroit area when he joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 2007. Doug is a Marine Science Technician, who has served in periods of both Active Duty and Reserve, including response to events such as the BP Oil Spill and Hurricane Harvey. Doug is currently still serving as a member of the Coast Guard Reserves. His eclectic background includes work in corporate training, education, medical, safety and security. Doug has studied Ministry Leadership at Cornerstone University, and Practical Theology at the King’s University.
Anything that involves sports or books is most likely a favorite of Dougs. Reading, boating, golfing, woodworking, walking, and watching a game are all on Doug’s list of a good way to spend an afternoon. He loves to spend time with his family and others in a laid back fun setting.
